Job Description

The Data & Performance Team supports, enhances and informs the services of Micah Projects through the analysis, reporting and cleansing of participant data sets and maintenance of related participant systems. The team works across all service areas to ensure high standards of data quality, support reporting obligations, and provide meaningful insights that strengthen services and organisational outcomes.

As a Data Analyst, you will provide analytical and operational support across Micah Projects, working with diverse and complex datasets across multiple service areas. Through accurate data management, analysis, reporting and stakeholder support, you will contribute to evidence-informed decision making and help generate meaningful insights that strengthen service delivery and outcomes for participants and communities.

 

This is a full-time fixed-term (until June-27) employment opportunity at Level 4 of the SCHADS Award.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse, validate and maintain complex participant and service datasets to ensure high standards of data quality, integrity and security.
  • Develop and enhance reports, dashboards and data visualisations that support organisational performance, service delivery and decision making.
  • Contribute to internal, contractual and statutory reporting requirements, including routine reporting, data extracts and performance reporting.
  • Provide operational support for Micah's data systems, databases, file systems and user support processes.
  • Identify data quality issues, risks and anomalies, and contribute recommendations that support continuous improvement and innovation.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant certificate, diploma or tertiary qualification and extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, expertise and competence.
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis, reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL and Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and data systems.
  • High-level information management, quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience supporting end users through training, system support or help desk functions.
  • Experience working with participant, community services, health or human services datasets.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders and reporting environments.
