Job Description

About the Role

The coordinator will work within the Micah Projects, Wellspring Children & Families Hub community to develop a community Hub in response to the needs of the families engaged with Micah Projects and the local community. This will include providing safe, enjoyable engagement activities as well as facilitate the provision of a range of supports to promote increased health and wellbeing of all family members.

  • Enable and actively encourage access to the centre for children and their families, community groups, government and non-government agencies, promoting it as a welcoming and safe activity and meeting space. 
  • Ensure that the program meets the funded outputs as outlined in the Service Agreement 
  • Actively communicate with stakeholders to ensure centre activities are relevant and meeting evidence based and agreed needs. 
  • Complete administrative tasks for the role including but not limited to report writing, data collection and workplace health and safety practices 
  • Assist with supervision of our EC Program Lead and Program Support Officer.
  • Participate in a positive, professional team culture
  • Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety regulations / legislation and ensure that it is a safe space for the community. 

This is a permanent full time employment opportunity with conditions and salary at Level 6 of the SCHADS Award.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Demonstrated experience at leading community-based initiatives with a variety of individuals and communities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups including, children, young people, women, volunteers, Indigenous and CALD people, community groups and all levels of government, business and the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program budgets, data collection and report writing for funding bodies. 
  • Highly effective time management skills, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with demonstrated capacity to support action planning and implementation within timeframes. 
  • Ability to function both as part of a team and autonomously with minimal supervision. 
  • The ability to undertake administrative tasks including a high level of computer literacy.
