Wellsprings Children and Families Hub – Program Lead Early Years.

We are seeking a Program Lead Early Years Servicesfor the Micah Projects’ Wellsprings Children and Families Hub at Hawthorne. This position will provide a new opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and knowledge further within a dynamic model of support for children and families. The Program Lead will support a team of 3 child and family practitioners (Educators) in operating our service 3 days per week, alongside offering a supportive playgroup for families (1 day) and outreach support to families engaged with Micah Projects.
This is a permanent full time employment opportunity with conditions and salary at Level 5 of the SCHADS Award.
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills and Knowledge
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education/Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification, with 3-5 years experience.
Passionate for individual/ child centred curriculum driven programs
Understanding of Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, and the National Quality Standards
Be an inspiring leader and positive advocate for early childhood
A strong level of communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and the community
Be flexible, relevant, reflective, and responsive in practice.
Senior first aid certificate, including CPR certificate and training in the emergency management of anaphylaxis and asthma or willingness to complete
Duties
Planning, preparation, and delivery of a comprehensive Early Childhood Program that is guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
Preparing and reflecting on your teaching environment to meet the needs of children’s development
Critically reflecting on your own teaching strategies and collaboratively reflecting to meet the needs of the community, children and families.
Using your creative vision and leadership skills to lead and support our community of families, children, and educators
Delivering a hands-on approach towards teaching young children that supports their holistic development
Demonstrated experience documenting observations of children's behaviour and development
Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display or courage in the provision of advice and decision making
