Job Description

Organisational Services provides support and resourcing across key areas including Finance, People and Learning, Administration and Governance Support, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, Information Technology, Quality, Risk and Performance, Work Health and Safety and Resource Management.

These teams work together to support strong governance, legislative compliance and effective organisational operations, enabling Micah Projects to continue delivering high quality services to the community.

The Learning and Development Team sits within the broader People and Learning function and supports workforce capability across Micah Projects. The team works with leaders and employees to support learning, professional development and organisational capability. This includes coordinating internal training programs, supporting learning initiatives, maintaining learning resources and contributing to workforce development strategies. Through this work the Learning and Development Team contributes to strengthening staff capability, supporting professional growth and enabling employees to deliver high quality services to participants and the community.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Learning and Development Officer to work as part of the Learning and Development Team within the People and Learning function at Micah Projects.The role supports the development, coordination and delivery of learning and development initiatives that strengthen staff capability and professional practice across the organisation. Working closely with leaders and teams, the Learning and Development Officer coordinates organisational training programs, maintains learning resources and systems, and supports workforce learning across Micah Projects. Through this work, the role contributes to the implementation of organisational learning priorities and supports a culture of reflective practice, learning and continuous improvement across Micah Projects.


This is a full time employment opportunity at Level 4 or 5 of the SCHADS Award based on relevant qualifications and experience.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of organisational compliance and foundational training programs, including orientation, mandatory training and refresher requirements.
  • Support the design, development and delivery of learning programs and training initiatives that strengthen professional practice across Micah Projects.
  • Facilitate workshops, learning sessions and development activities for employees and leaders.
  • Coordinate the administration and logistics of organisational training programs including scheduling sessions, managing registrations and liaising with facilitators.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant qualification in learning and development, education, human resources, organisational development or a related discipline, or a combination of relevant experience and expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or delivering training or professional development programs.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience developing learning materials, resources or training documentation.
