We believe that every child and adult has the right to a home, an income, healthcare, education, safety, dignity, and connection with their community of choice. Job Description
The Women, Children and Families Cluster includes the Young Mothers for Young Women (YMYW) program in Brisbane. YMYW supports young pregnant and parenting women (25 years and under), their children (aged 5 and under), and their familieswithin the Brisbane City Council region.
Through the Wellspring Hub, families can access services such as targeted family support, group programs, antenatal services, child health clinics, GP services, and community connections. YMYW uses a two-generation approach, supporting both parents and children while recognising the strengths of young parents. The program acknowledges that challenges such as housing, health, social isolation, education, employment, and income are interconnected and require an integrated response.
The team works alongside families to strengthen family functioning, promote positive parent–child relationships, build community connections, and help families navigate key systems including child protection, family law, domestic and family violence, justice, income support, education, mental health, housing, and healthcare.
