Job Description

Organisational Services provides support and resourcing across key areas including Finance, People and Learning, Administration and Governance Support, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, Information Technology, Quality, Risk and Performance, Work Health and Safety and Resource Management. 

These teams work together to support strong governance, legislative compliance and effective organisational operations, enabling Micah Projects to continue delivering high quality services to the community. 

The People and Performance Team sits within the broader People and Learning function and plays an important role in supporting Micah Projects’ workforce and organisational capability. 

The People and Performance Team supports leaders and employees across Micah Projects in the application of people management processes and practices. This includes providing guidance and coordination in areas such as recruitment, employee lifecycle administration, performance processes, HR systems, workforce reporting and organisational compliance requirements. 

Through this work, the team contributes to building a capable, supported and accountable workforce that enables Micah Projects to deliver services to the community in line with the organisation’s vision and values.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced People and Performance Officer to You will work as part of the People and Performance Team within the broader People and Learning function at Micah Projects. 
 
The People and Performance Team supports leaders and employees across Micah Projects in the application of people management processes and practices. This includes providing guidance and coordination in relation to recruitment, employee lifecycle processes, performance frameworks, HR systems, workforce reporting and organisational compliance requirements. 
 
The role works closely with leaders and employees across the organisation to support consistent and effective people management practices and contribute to initiatives that strengthen organisational performance and workforce practices. 

This is a full time employment opportunity at Level 4 of the SCHADS Award.
Please be advised, this role is fully onsite and not offered as a hybrid position. 

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical HR advice and guidance to leaders on the application of organisational policies, procedures and people management practices, including performance discussions and minor conduct matters. 
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle processes including recruitment activities, onboarding, employment contracts, variations and employee changes.
  • Support the implementation and administration of organisational performance processes, including Talkin and related performance development frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate workforce data within the HRIS (ELMO)

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant qualification in business, human resources or a related discipline, or a combination of experience, expertise and competence in HR or business administration.
  • Experience supporting HR processes including recruitment, employee lifecycle administration and workforce documentation. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. 
  • Demonstrated experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
