Job Description
Safer Lives Mobile Service (SLMS) is a 24/7 crisis-response specialist domestic and family violence support program that aims to support women and children that have just experiences a domestic and family violence incident, within an outreach co-response model with Queensland Police Service, DV Connect and Queensland Health.
The Safer Lives Mobile Team works in partnership with Brisbane Domestic Violence Service and Micah Projects Housing and Homelessness Teams.
As an Administration Assistant, you will be an essential part of the team, offering administrative and operational support to the Cluster Lead, Team Leaders, and the wider teams. Your role will include a variety of tasks ranging from phone management to supporting event coordination and document management, all while promoting a culture of safety, respect, and trauma-informed approaches.
This is a fixed term until August 2025 full time role with conditions and salary at Level 3 of the SCHADS Award.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and operational support to the Cluster Lead, Team Leaders, and team members.
Answer and manage centre-based landline and mobile phone calls.
Assist with administration of People and Learning, Finance, WHS, Property, and Fleet activities.
Offer event management support.
Provide preparation and administrative support for meetings.
Support document management processes.
Promote a culture of respect, safety, and trauma-informed approaches within the team.
Ensure commitment to a safe workplace in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, ensuring compliance.
Assist with administrative, practice, and quality requirements in Micah Projects systems.
Undertake any other relevant duties as required.
Work collaboratively as a team member, demonstrating strong teamwork, support, engagement, and communication in alignment with the values of the organisation.
Foster an inclusive environment, respecting the diversity of all team members and clients.
Participate in supervision and professional development, contributing to individual professional development plans.
Provide high-level professionalism, sensitivity, and responsiveness to both internal and external people and partners.
Ensure that organisational data and records are accurate, complete, and consistent, adhering to policies, procedures, and agreed-upon evaluation processes.
Essential:
Experience in a generalist administration role, including process development and use of IT systems.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of IT competency (including Microsoft Office 365).
Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity and working knowledge of equity and WHS principles.
A positive attitude with the ability to work flexibly, adaptively, and proactively both in a team environment and autonomously.
Strong commitment to the values and principles of Micah Projects and meeting community needs.
